Foliations (2017)

Presented at Bus Projects as part of the 2017 exhibition 'CLIP Presents: Soundings', 'Foliations' emerged from an interest in the physics and philosophy of time.

A Foliation of space-time is method to help understand the evolution of a system from an initial condition. It consists of fragmenting space-time into a series of spatial slices, which evolve in time.
In this work I explore these ideas through the spatialised layering of light in the room as well as the temporal extension of the sonic material, comprising electro-magnetic induction and voice recordings.
