Immaterial Structures (2018)
A work in development throughout my Honours year, Immaterial Structures is the product of my practice-led research into the potential for forming audio-visual relationships between sound and light.
Comprising 8 channels of audio and 8 LED light boxes, the work functions as a spatialised distribution of sonic and visual drone. As you navigate the space, layers of connections form and dissolve as visual properties such as colour, form, intensity and movement perceptually bond with sonic properties of timbre, pitch, noise and rhythm.
